About

The GCDC was created to provide resources for individuals that intend to create a  deathcare experience for their loved one and their families that are completely independent of, or in collaboration with, services provided by a family oriented funeral home.

We define deathcare as all processes that occur after immediate biological death; physical care of the deceased as well as ceremony, whether spiritual or secular, and all other activities until burial or cremation.

These resources are intended to supply information such as legal responsibilities and rights of family members and the deceased, as well as more creative resources such as shroud, casket and urn creation.

The GCDC is open to all personalized elements of deathcare and appreciate and encourage new ideas for content or resource links.
